Another Birthday To Celebrate

Today, this handsome little boy of mine (although he's far from being little now since he's taller than me!) is 21 years old! I know that I didn't always make the right decisions while I was raising him & he didn't have the best childhood in the world, but I think he's finally getting his act together & hopefully, starting to grow up. I'm sure he'll be hitting a lot of bars tonight, celebrating that he's 21......I just hope & pray that he's smart enough not to drive!

Here his is when he was just 6 months old. Oh, how I miss those days! Just look at those big, baby blue eyes & that cute smile :) See those dimples? He got them from me.

In this picture, he's almost 2 years old & since his daddy was in the Navy, I couldn't resist buying him this little uniform :) He had the brightest blond hair when he was little. Yeah, he could have used a haircut before I got this picture taken, but I didn't want to cut the little curls he had in the back ;)

Onto today's 2 Pea Challenge: "If you could redo any room in your home (money being no problem), what room would it be? Share with us what you would do to this room." In the bedroom, I'd buy a new bed (headboard & footboard, not mattress as I LOVE our mattress set!). I'd also love to have an enclosed porch in place of the deck because I hate bugs, bees & wasps!

This weekend, Jim's working, but I'm off, so I'm hoping to get some scrapping done along with some much-needed cleaning & laundry. Not my idea of fun, but oh well.....someone has to do it.

Have a great weekend & stay cool!

Benita, don't see how that picture is in bad taste! I probably wouldn't have noticed it she was sitting on the potty until you mentioned it.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but this time I think I can say that person was wrong! :)

Happy 21st birthday to him! I love the pictures of when he was younger!

I don't think there was anything wrong with the picture. LIke you said, nothing was showing. I agree with Jewels that I wouldn't have noticed what she was doing either until you mentioned it. I was too busy looking at those beautiful eyes. I remember when she was born! :)

I agree - there is nothing wrong with that adorable picture of your granddaughter! It IS in good taste and the focus of the shot is on that perfect little face, not where she's sitting. Don't let one comment bother you - the rest of us enjoy seeing your little sunshine, whatever she's doing!

And happy "giving-birth" day to you, Benita...after all, 21 years ago YOU were the one doing all the work! I call my mom every year on my birthday, at 8:43am exactly, to tell her "congratulations - it's a girl!" :-) So, Congratulations...it's a BOY!

OMGoodness, what is wrong with people. I don't see a stinking thing wrong with that picture. You are correct...there are no body part showing except her face, and the picture is darling! Some people just need to get a life and stop worrying about innocent pictures like this and put their effort on something really important. And Happy Birthday...and also to your son.

I think people should keep their negative comments to themselves...the pix are adorable and completely innocent. I have potty pix (who doesn't?)
I wouldn't spend a minute worrying about it!

I don't think there was anything distasteful about the picture.. Some people are just wacko. There was nothing showing, and what grandma/mom doesn't have a potty photo?? I have one of my dd sitting on the potty (nothing showing) holding a cup of water larger than she was, drinking it. I was trying to make her HAVE to go.. lol!!!!
