Spring Flowers & Tagged

I just love the smell of my Hyacinths when they're blooming! Here is a photo of just one of them that I planted in front of my garage a few years ago. I definitely need to buy some more! I just wish they lasted longer than they do. That's the only thing I don't like about most bulbs.....I wish they would bloom all summer long.

Jim & I spent Easter doing some much-needed gardening in our flower beds. We completely tore out the flower bed on the side of the garage that had Daylillies planted in it. The previous owners planted them & while they were pretty, the flower bed was starting to get over grown with grass as well. So we just decided to dig it all out & start fresh. I'm not sure what we're going to plant in there yet, but it'll probably be some type of flowering bushes. I wish Gardenias would grow in Michigan.....I love the scent of those! I'd love to have some Crape Myrtle trees as well......it's things like this that I really miss about Virginia!

I was tagged again & this looks like a fun one to do, so here are my answers:

5 things:

in my fridge
1. Gallon of Milk
2. Butter
3. Yummy Strawberry Cheesecake from a friend :)
4. Left-overs from tonight's dinner (spaghetti)
5. Batteries (they really do last longer if you store them in the fridge)

in my closet
1. Jeans
2. Shirts
3. Storage boxes from QVC
4. Hamper
5. Suitcases

in my purse
1. Checkbook
2. Wallets
3. Cell phone
4. Coupons
5. Lip gloss

in my car
1. Owl pendant that belonged to my sister Karen hanging from my rear-view mirror
2. Organizer for when I go grocery shopping so the bags don't go flying all over the place!
3. Change
4. Atlas for when we go on trips
5. CD's

on my TiVo (assuming i had TiVo)
1. Bowling (Jim records it every week)
2. Nascar shows
3. Last episode of Sex & The City
4. Last episode of Friends
5. According To Jim

I tag:

1. Jewls, Melissa & anyone else that wants to be tagged :)

That's all for now.....off to do some scrapping :)

Those flowers are gorgeous. I have a new yard this year and I am still trying to figure out what I want to plant. I can't wait to start. Our clean-up starts tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip on the batteries;)
